A Love Letter From Janine Bolon…

Thank you for your kindness.

Last week I received 15 emails from fans and readers. It seems my update on “Focus on the People Who Listen to You” hit a rather large nerve in the community. You were all so kind and sympathetic to the rather rough week I was having as a business owner.

The amount of support, camaraderie, and compliments you showered upon me brought tears of appreciation and gratitude that I have such a delightfully engaged community of servant leaders, entrepreneurs, and creatives.

I was overwhelmed (in a good way) by the outpouring of generosity and I’d like to share with you some of the positives that came out of a rather difficult situation as follows:

I’m sorry you went through that! You rock Janine!

People can be so goofy. Hang in because I know exactly what an honest and professional person you are.

Thank you for sharing!

I hear you and can relate to you. After 30 years of caregiving and receiving all kinds of awards, my client called me F***ken DUMB as an immature 61-year-old angry girl in public.

So, I get it.

Janine, your message struck me because I have had three judgments on LinkedIn and 2 on FB in the past two weeks. They have accused me of many terrible things and were unjustifiable, and no way to clear up my name. Something is going on with these platforms that is very nasty!

I was very hurt and tried for several hours to clear up what was not even wrong. I am not sure I did any good.

It is something that many may be facing, but we are just unaware of the problem. It would be interesting to find out how many you know might also face problems like this.

Thank you for sharing Janine!  I can personally attest to how much care you put into your relationships. I’ve experienced firsthand your thoughtfulness, care, and professionalism! I’m proud to be in your network! Wishing you a blessed day.

With such lovely comments shared through email, I was lifted up.

Thank you for writing to me. Thank you for supporting the work I do and, most importantly, thank you for continuing to do the work you do. You are a bright light in this world.

Keep shining, bright!

I’ve had this happen as well. Please remember, haters are always going to hate. You can’t fix that. And when directed at you, it is people you know, who are typically struggling themselves, that can be used as weapons against you. It comes out of nowhere, makes no sense, and sometimes has no action or words of your own that you can even relate to what is being said. Defense and anguish is our normal response. But when you don’t know what you’re defending against, how can you defend.
Know that you’re doing good by the fact that the attack happens. Put your shields up, surround yourself with the people who support you, and receive the kind words that will help ease the pain. Do what you need to do to separate yourself from the people who do this to you, you can’t help them. These are the ones you just say a prayer for. And then put yourself back together and keep going forward . Yeah, I know that’s not easy, and I’ve certainly had to do it myself recently, so I know how easy it isn’t. But I know you can, and I know you will. Love and light to you, Brenda

Thank you, Brenda. This meant a lot to me that you would take the time to write this out. I appreciate all that you do and wish you much abundance and success in your work!
